Strike It Out provides hot, nutritious meals twice a week to people experiencing homelessness and hardship across Launceston. Volunteers prepare the meals, serve them in person, and then head out on outreach runs to find individuals sleeping rough who may not be able to attend set locations.
These meals do far more than fill stomachs — they restore dignity, human connection, and a sense of safety. For many people doing it tough, Strike It Out’s meal service is the only reliable support they receive all week. This consistent, compassionate presence helps vulnerable community members stay nourished, warm, and connected, especially in colder months when survival becomes harder.
