Art Gathering for Women Encourages Connection at Starting Point

Bringing women together in a safe and welcoming space, Starting Point Neighbourhood House recently hosted a relaxed art workshop in Launceston, Tasmania. The session was designed to encourage participants to create art, engage in gentle conversations, and reflect on what a safe and happy future could look like for themselves and their families. Supported through a kind donation from the ANZ Community Foundation, the workshop removed barriers to participation by requiring no bookings and providing snacks for all who attended.

The event offered local women an opportunity to step away from daily routines and connect with others in their community. Starting Point Neighbourhood House aimed for a calm atmosphere where art-making became a tool for both relaxation and self-expression.
