How

Eat Well Tasmania shared how the University of Tasmania’s community and student food gardens cultivate much more than produce. Through stories from the Inveresk campus and its unofficial King of Compost, Jeff, the contribution showed students and locals gaining confidence, practical skills, friendships and a stronger sense of belonging, including one student inspired to study overseas and another discovering gardening after growing up in a high-rise apartment. It made the gardens’ role in community wellbeing visible.
