Deep listening is rare in public life, yet it is the foundation of genuine community understanding. The Launnie Listening Table created a structured space where residents could share their experiences, concerns, and hopes without agenda or interruption. This kind of intentional dialogue builds empathy across difference, surfaces issues that do not appear in surveys, and generates the mutual trust that enables communities to act collectively. The insights gathered also provide invaluable input for organisations and decision-makers working to improve life in the city.
