The Heart of the Bulldogs — Our Volunteers

At South Launceston Football Club, we often say that while players wear the jumper, it’s our volunteers who carry the club. Every training night, every match day, and every event depends on people who give their time, energy, and care simply because they love their community and believe in what this club stands for.

From running the canteen and keeping score, to coaching juniors, washing guernseys, and setting up the oval before sunrise — our volunteers are the heartbeat of the Bulldogs. They’re the quiet achievers who make sure everything runs smoothly so players can focus on the game. Without them, there simply is no club.

But volunteering isn’t just about helping out — it’s about being part of something bigger. For many of our volunteers, the club is where friendships form, skills grow, and a sense of belonging takes root. It’s where retired players stay connected, parents get involved alongside their kids, and locals find purpose in giving back.
