How

Eat Well Tasmania helped establish the Risdon Prison Garden in partnership with Loaves and Fishes, School Food Matters and the Tasmanian Department of Justice. Working with inmates, the project created opportunities for meaningful work, marketable horticultural skills and access to fresh food. With support from the Hydro Tasmania team, participants completed a major weeding effort and harvested potatoes, demonstrating how a community garden can contribute to rehabilitation, practical learning, healthier food and inclusion.
