How

Eat Well Tasmania examined the proposed Primary Produce Safety (Horticulture Produce) Regulations from a public health and food-systems perspective and encouraged the community to participate in the consultation. By inviting growers, community gardens, neighbourhood houses, schools, crop swaps and local food initiatives to read the proposal and form their own views, the contribution broadened whose experience could inform the process. Listening to perspectives from Sprout Tasmania, TasFarmers and Community Gardens Australia helped keep the discussion connected to Tasmania’s diverse food system.
