George Town Neighbourhood House ran a $1 Shop offering food and toiletries at heavily reduced prices. The low-cost service gave community members an opportunity to obtain everyday essentials without breaking the bank, helping ease cost-of-living pressure. Inviting residents to bring a friend also made the shop a social point of connection as well as practical support.
