George Town Neighbourhood House encouraged community members to complete a survey about the role and pressures of Neighbourhood Houses across Tasmania. The appeal highlighted the broad support people access through these services, including food, housing, Centrelink, mental health support, education, emergency assistance, children’s programs and volunteering. By inviting people who have benefited from the House to share their experiences, the Neighbourhood House sought evidence of growing demand, community impact and the need for sustainable funding. The survey offered residents a practical way to support the future of local services and help decision-makers understand the work carried out by staff and volunteers.
