Health & Wellbeing
Sandy Bay, TAS
24 April 2020
Eat Well Tasmania encouraged people who had begun gardening to share what they were harvesting and how they were cooking it, turning home-grown vegetables into a prompt for practical learning and community exchange. The contribution supported households to build confidence in growing food and preparing meals from their own produce, while inviting people to learn from one another’s ideas. This focus on gardening and cooking strengthened seasonal food skills, encouraged greater use of fresh vegetables and showed how home food production can support wellbeing and resilience.
