Even while the George Town Neighbourhood House was closed, its volunteer Lucas collected fresh bread from Subway and stocked the pantry for community members. People were invited to bring a container and take the unfilled loaves, with a reminder to leave the bread containers behind. This simple food-sharing initiative redirected surplus food to residents who could use it and demonstrated the Neighbourhood House’s ongoing practical care for the community outside normal opening hours.
