Through the We Eat Local app, Eat Well Tasmania made it easier for people to find Tasmanian producers and retailers close to them. The app’s map allows users to explore sources of dairy, seafood, vegetables, fruit, mushrooms, nuts, grains, meat and other local foods, helping them discover businesses they may not otherwise encounter. This practical directory connects community members with seasonal produce and gives local food businesses a more visible route to customers, strengthening relationships between shoppers and the producers and retailers who supply their communities.
