George Town Neighbourhood House celebrated Carers Week and Seniors Week with a free barbecue and mini expo at The Hood. The event brought together carers, older residents and service providers for food, conversation and access to practical information. Listed participants included Care2Serve Carer Gateway, Kate’s Connections, Wellways, and Centrelink ASCO and FISO. By putting community members and support services in the same space, the Neighbourhood House made it easier to discover assistance and build social connections.
