Pro-Scaff has been proudly involved in supporting Fight MND through Launceston’s BIG FREEZE community fundraising events, contributing both leadership and hands-on support over multiple years.
Andrew Philpott, co-owner of Pro-Scaff, was one of the key instigators behind bringing the BIG FREEZE slide event to Launceston, helping turn a national cause into a locally driven fundraising initiative. The event was followed by the establishment of an annual charity ball, further strengthening community engagement and fundraising efforts for Motor Neurone Disease research and support.
This commitment extended well beyond financial support. The Philpott family played an active role in the delivery of the events, with involvement in planning and coordination, and practical construction support on the ground. Pro-Scaff’s scaffolding expertise was used to help build the slide stage and pool scaffolding, ensuring the event infrastructure was safe, functional, and professionally delivered.
The involvement of the whole family — including their sons assisting with construction — highlights the depth of Pro-Scaff’s connection to the community and the values they bring to their business. It reflects a belief that local businesses can play a meaningful role in driving positive social outcomes by contributing time, skills, and leadership.

Through its support of Fight MND and the BIG FREEZE events, Pro-Scaff has helped mobilise community participation, raise awareness, and contribute to a cause that has touched many Australian families.
